Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of West Blocton, AL at the West Blocton Municipal Building, 62 Walter Owens Dr, West Blocton, AL 35184, until 2:00 PM CST, Thursday, March 27, 2025 for: West Blocton Theater Building Renovation, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Early submissions can be received by Studio 2H Design, LLC, Attn: Sam Matthews 1721 4th Ave N, Suite 101, Birmingham, AL 35203 if delivered by 3:00 PM CST, Wednesday, March 26, 2025. All other submissions must be brought to the bid opening.
All prospective bidders must complete and a “Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications” to Studio 2H Design, LLC, Attn: Sam Matthews 1721 4th Ave N, Suite 101, Birmingham, AL 35203. The deadline for the submission of a “Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications” is Friday, March 7, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. CST. Submission of the “Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications” is required of all bidders regardless of previous work experience with the Town of West Blocton. Notice of Prequalified Bidders will be provided via email by March 11, 2025.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the West Blocton Municipal Building on Friday March 14, 2025 at 2 p.m., for the purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions during the site walkthrough. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory for Prequalified General Contractor Bidders. Interested subcontractors are encouraged to attend.
This project consists of:
Renovation of an existing 3,242 SF single story brick building, previously used as a motion picture theater
Renovated spaces to include an office, a multi-purpose space, catering kitchen and support spaces
Renovation includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, new roofing, new exterior storefront windows and doors, new finishes, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work, and site work and utility upgrades
